Antique transferware ironstone potty. This is a rare find, made by Mason's Staffordshire, England.
It has a transfer mark on the bottom with Mason's, above an angular crown, above a banner reading 'Patent Ironstone China' which can be dated back to around 1840.
The oriental blue willow style transfer pattern is in a very dark blue on a grey blue background with a serpent handle.
There is some very minor crazing under the base which is hardly worth mentioning. There is also some minor wear to the pattern on the rim which only adds to it's character and charm.
Over all this impressive piece of Mason's Ironstone is in fantastic condition with no breaks, cracks, chips or repairs.
