Rare Dudson Jasperware Teapot. English C.1880.
The base of th teapot has an impressed mark reading Dudson England and the under side of the lid is impressed with 'James T. Dudson, Licensed by the Patentees of Hanley, Staffordshire'. These markings date this teapot to around 1880.
The pot itself is in very good condition for it's age with no chips, breaks or repairs. There is some wear to one of the figurines which is shown in the pictures. There is a hairline crack on the body of the teapot to one side of the spout which is hardly noticeable and hardly even shows in the pictures. The lid has 2 chips on the rim which are also shown in the pictures.
Dimensions: Spout to handle 8 1/2", diameter 5 1/2", total height 5 1/4".
