Magnificent rustic oak drop leaf table, imported from England and dating back to C.1900.
What a rare beauty this piece is. I have never seen a drop leaf table so big and heavy. The leaves are so big they almost touch the ground.
Each leaf lifts up and a large gate leg swings out to support it from below. It folds out to become a very large farm house style dining table.
These kind of tables would have originally been used as a dining table but they also make a great card/game table, hall table, side table or desk. They are making a big come back due to their versatility and practicality in today's home.
This particular piece is in solid, sturdy condition with age appropriate flaws. There are some marks on the top which are shown in the pictures and there is some slight separation of the wood planks due to climate change. It has a rustic country look with wear throughout which only adds to it's character and charm.
Dimensions: width 48", depth when folded 23 1/2", length when extended 76 1/4", height 30".
