Beautiful set of nesting tables, imported from England and dating back to the early 1900's.
I have seen some beautiful sets of nesting tables before but nothing like this. This set actually consists of a small coffee table with 2 small side tables which can be stored underneath when not in use.
The scalloped edge of each table is beautifully hand carved. There is also acanthus carving to the knees of the elegantly shaped Queen Anne legs.
They each have a glass top which protects the beautiful burled walnut veneer below.
These tables do have a lot of wear throughout. There is a small piece of veneer missing on the side of one side table and there is an old veneer crack repair to the side of the coffee table. There is a damaged corner and chip to the edge of one of the glass tops of a side table. There is also a small chip to the glass top corner of the other side table. I have tried to show as much of the flaws as possible in the pictures and as you can see this is still an impressive set of tables.
This is a unique set of tables which actually look very pretty 'as is' or could be refinished for a more formal look. They are all in solid, sturdy condition.
