Antique oak extending dining table Imported from England and dating back to the late 1800's.
This great table boasts a solid golden oak table top with wonderful tiger oak patina and darker color on the chunky turned legs with original castors.
It is fitted with the original, fully functional wind out mechanism with brass plate showing the maker of the mechanism to be Joseph Fitter who patented the design.
It can be extended to accommodate 2 leaves. Unfortunately, there are no leaves, however these can easily be made by our restorer upon purchase of the table for around $300 each.
This was probably once a very formal table but with over 100 years of use it now has a more worn country look with a wonderful aged patina. Over all it is in solid sturdy condition.
