Antique Victorian dining table with drop leaves and pedestal base.
This beautiful old table was imported from England and dates back to the late 1800's.
It is made from solid mahogany with a fold out leaf on each side with 2 bracket arms that swing out to support the leaves when in use.
There is a functional drawer on one end and a fake drawer on the other end. It has an elegantly turned pedestal base with 4 softly scrolled legs reaching out for support.
This would make a great hall table or side table folded down, or open it up to make an almost square breakfast or dining table.
This table was probably very formal looking in it's early years but it has seen over 100 years of use and has developed a wonderful aged, warm patina.
There is wear and dings throughout and 3 of the feet are missing the decorative scroll work on one side. I have tried to show this in the pictures and as you can see it only adds to it's character and charm.
There is some slight movement to the top but it is over all a sturdy and functional table with age appropriate flaws.
