Pauline Rader Gold-Toned Necklace
The outer portion of the pendant has a floral design and the center has a 3 dimensional mystical face of a man from which 5 thinner chains with balls on the tips suspend from his mouth. This is typical of Pauline Rader designs, as they were influenced by her love of antiquity and her pieces were highly imaginative, depicting mystical Greek or Italian influences, like this one.
Pauline Rader produced designs in very small quantities for a select clientele and elite boutiques, therefore, her jewelry is difficult to find and is very collectible. She ceased operations in the 1980ís.
Circa 1965-1970, this piece is in great vintage condition. There is some slight wear around the upper brows of the mystical face, but it is not really noticeable when worn.
Mark: Pauline Rader on fused oval plaque on back of pendant.
This necklace is stunning a a sure conversation piece for the collector.
