Incredible deeply carved cameo with the portrait of a Roman Goddess in high relief. The depth of the cameo is 5/16". She has an aquiline nose and her hair is high with ornate decoration.
The frame is gold although not stamped it acid tests for 10k gold. The cameo is bezel set with a twisted rope wire decoration and an engraved design on the frame.
Pin stick is not gold.
Weighs 2.5 grams. Measures approximately 7/8" long by 3/4" wide.
The close is a hasp which functions very well.
