Butter knife shell pattern Benedict Bros sterling silver

Butter knife shell pattern Benedict Bros sterling silver

The Benedict Bros store was in New York City where the AT&T building is. They were widely know for watches and didn't manufacture sterling silver but purchased it and had it stamped with their name. Their store was closed in 1935. The pattern is similar to Mount Vernon Co. Silversmiths Plymouth 1905. It has the same curved handle with shell and thread design. The butter knife measures approximately 8 1/2" long and weighs 38 grams. It is in good condition with normal wear for its age.
