Norwegian crepe server & heavy cream spreader 830S silver ornate
Offered is an unusual small crepe server and heavy cream spreader with Norwegian hallmarks. This is rather an ornate style and may have been made for export. Note that they are boxed in what I believe is original to the set. There is wear to the box but the interior is in very nice condition with velvet and satin.
The servers have an Art Nouveau sensibility with a single flower which resembles an iris and elongated tendrils. The handles are marked 830S and have a maker's mark of W. Originally both the spreader and the crepe server had gilt however only the cream server is obvious. There are a variety of flowers chased on the blade and server with leaves and stem. In the corner of the server is a darling flying insect. I believe only the blades are 830 silver and the rest likely silver plate.
Weight is 204 grams total. The cream spreader measures approximately 10 1/4" long and the crepe server 9 3/4" long with a diameter of 2 7/8" at the widest point. Overall the condition is very good with the exception of 2 scratches on either side of the crepe server.
