Estonian caviar serving spoon 875 silver

Estonian serving caviar spoon 875 silver

Offered is a rare Estonian silver spoon used for serving caviar most likely. The bowl of the spoon is large measuring about 1 1/2" across. The hallmark is a left facing lion, the mark for silver 875, and maker's mark AN. The spoon was likely a gift to Agnes and on the back is the date for July 31, 1935. This would have been prior to the Soviet occupation in 1940. The spoon weighs 20.9 grams and measures 6 3/8" long. The condition is very good with some very light scratches to the bowl.
