Sugar sifter server British chester 1902 sterling silver
Offered is a sugar sifter with a lovely pierced bowl. The design is finely executed with varying shapes. It is hallmarked with the right facing lion anchor and the letter date B. If I have correctly identified it in Tardy's, the letter date is for 1902.
This is a heavy silver sifter weighing approximately 1.8 oz.. The handle is a rope twist design over the front and back and notice the flourish it ends with before the monogram. The monogram might be CB but I am not certain. The length of the sifter is about 7" and the bowl is 2 5/16" across. Berry season is about to start and what a delightful way to put confectioners sugar out for guests.
