Gilt picture frame wood Large and ornate

Offered is a very large picture or mirror frame of carved wood. It has a lovely curled carving on the outer edge with a smaller repeat. The wood insert is genuine and might be walnut. The condition is very good with one small edge missing which I have left to the discretion of the buyer.

Overall the frame measures about 41 1/4" by 36 1/4". The frame depth is 5". The interior measures approximately 21 1/2" by 26 1/2" and the frame to the interior 7 9/16".

The gilt is in very good condition for its age and has a soft almost bronze patina.
