Antique Arts & Crafts Copper Vase Unsigned Dirk Van Erp

This is the smaller vase on the right, which is an amazing example of deformed metal, which has been crushed like damp clay.

This reminds me a bit of the work done by potter George Ohr.

I have never seen this done to a bronze shell, which must have required heat and a tremendous amount of pressure.

This shell has markings which are consistent with known early works by Dirk Van Erp.

This is in good condition with normal wear, and one 1/4" wide dent/crease on the lip.

This measures about 7 5/8" high, 2 1/2" wide and opening measures 1 7/8" in diameter and 2 1/2" in diameter at the base.

This weighs about 1 lb 14 oz (before packing).
