Peking Glass Resting Buddha with Money Bag

This item was purchased in China in the late 1970's early 1980's by a woman who worked for an airline. She said she traveled extensively and purchased this item on one of her trips.

What is unusual for this Buddha is that it is not facing west and not reclining on its right hand so this is not the reclining buddha. In my opinion this is the resting buddha. His face is happy, his money bag under his left hand and his beads in his right hand. A very unusual form of buddha. Made of Peking glass. This Buddha is 5 l/2 inches long, and about 2 l/2 inches tall 2 l/2 inches wide.

No chips, cracks, repairs. A rare form of Buddha. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows anything about this form of Buddha.
