Blanc de Chine Statue of Wen Chang - God of Literature

At first I thought this blanc de chine statue probably represented one of the 3 star gods - Lu - God of prosperity, rank and Influence. However, after some research I believe this is the god of literature Wen Chang. He is sitting down with an object in his right hand and a book in his left hand - appearing deep in meditation. Wen Chang is usually depicted with a book in his hand and this is why I believe this is a blanc de chine statue of Wen Chang and not Lu, the god of prosperity. He is about 9 1/2 inches tall. I see no chips, cracks or repairs. This item probably is from the mid 1950's.

Please email if you have any questions or if you can provide more info on this chinese god.
