This 6 inches tall Harrach Bohemian vase has one unusual detail I have never seen before. The flame portion (on the lower portion of the vase) has another opal glass cased to the original opal glass making this a cased opal on opal glass.
I have been able to identify this vase as Harrach and the decor name is "Flame". You can see another example of this style at "Bohemian Glass and More" website on the internet. If you need the link, please email me.
The bottom has a polished pontil. Also has a crackle or overshot treatment( to suggest a hot burning coal???). As mentioned before the flame portion of the glass is a cased glass treatment but in this case it is opal glass on top of opal glass. The vase is signed with a "W" and a #11.
The vase is decorated with a type of raised gold decoration usually seen on Webb Glass but also used by Harrach Glass in Bohemia.
The vase has no chips, cracks or repairs. Any questions please email me.
