This seven piece Imperial Grape Pattern Water set consists of one pitcher and six tumblers. This set is not marked indicating that this was made prior to 1951 when Imperial Glass Company first marked their milk glass.
Imperial Glass Company first made milk glass in 1930. The pitcher has 4 mold, the tumblers have 3 molds.
The old pieces such as this one is not as a dense white looking as the newer pieces made by Imperial. I purchased this set in the 1970's on Long Island and this has been in my collection since. The detail on the pitcher is quite crisp and you will notice that this is the large water pitcher.
The pitcher stands about 8 l/2 inches, the flat tumblers about 4 inches. This set is in remarkable good shape.
