EAPG - Original George Duncan & Sons Three Face Open Compote With Etched Design

This is an original Three Face open compote made by George Duncan & Son around 1878. This is one of the top 10 Patterns of the late Victorian era.

The compote stands about 9 inches tall and is about 8 3/8 inches wide.

The top portion of the compote has an etched design that was used on some pieces of this pattern. The etched pieces are highly desirable attesting to this item being an original production.

No cracks, chips or repairs. On the non frosted area near the etching design is what appears to be a water mark or a frosting to one small area. I mention this for accuracy. Could have been made during manufacturing. Please see last picture.

This glass is about about 130 years old and is in remarkable condition. Please see pictures.
