Rare Lion and Palm Tree Candlestick - 19C

The face of the lion is well defined and the fur lines are visible on the glass.

The height is almost 9 inches

This candlestick has three molds.

The top portion of the candlestick appears to be attached to the rest of the candlestick, similar to old press glass candlesticks. I say this because the mold lines do not continue to the top of the candlestick.

The top portion where the candlestick sits (on the inside) has a candle burn mark which has become part of the glass.

On the base, when you turn the candlestick over, there appears to be a bruise on the inside of the glass, about a quarter of an inch, but does not show unless you lift the glass and look at the bottom. The bruise is on the underside of the base itself.

There are some bubbles to the glass on the bottom portion, a few straw marks and some rough spots to the glass.

The candlestick itself is in remarkable condition for its age.
