This lovely Victorian cross-over bracelet is accented with 12K end caps on each bypass and also has a 12K box over the spring hinge. The box is clearly stamped "PAT. DEC. 16, 1879". The remainder of the bracelet appears to be either gold plated or gold fill. The center of the bracelet has a large bezel set oval onyx covering the hinge-box. The stone is in wonderful condition and measures 3/4" x 5/8". The back of the bracelet spreads open 2 1/2" allowing for easy put-on. The spring is strong, and the total unopened circumference is 7 3/8". I would say the bracelet would fit a size 6-6 1/2 well. I don't believe this mourning bracelet was worn very much. This Victorian treasure is still a stunning antique beauty in its present day condition.
This bracelet would make a lovely addition to your antique jewelry collection or ready to accent your wardrobe. Thank you for looking and please feel free to email us with any questions.
