Vintage Persian Hand Painted Prayer Altar With Mirror
Vintage hand painted wooden altar with mirror which I believe to be Persian (I've been told it may possibly be from Syria as well). It measures 23" high by 11" wide (doors closed) and 3" thick. With the doors open, it is just about 2" wider.
I love that the inside of the doors as well as the mirror are painted, so it has interest and depth whether open or closed. The colors and figures are vibrant and fill the piece.
It appears to be a table top altar and does not currently have a hook from which it can be hung, but one could certainly be added easily.
