From my own collection. I've had this 585 14K yellow gold sweet brooch for as long as I can remember. I acquired it at an antique shop when I just started to work, and have had it tucked away in a box for many years.
The gold is lush Russian or Egyptian gold with an almost matte or satin finish. The detail on the face of the pin and at the border is all hand work. The brooch measures 1-3/4" long by 9/16" wide. It has an old C clasp and there is a small ring on the back - not visible when worn and not sure of its purpose since there's only one ring. I think this could also be hung from a chain vertically as a pendant or repurposed into another great piece....
The weight is 3.0 grams. It is marked 585 for (European most likely) 14K gold content, and has been also tested to be at least that (actually tests higher, as 15K.
Lovely condition - there is a mark indentation on the back (see photos) which has been there and of course is not visible.
This would be incredible on an antique doll.....
