Cloche Hat. Gray Velvet & Mink. Charming! Mint condition.

This wonderful cloche hat was custom made in the 1930's. It is styled with the crown gathered into a wide band which is wired inside to keep its shape. On the side front is an intricate knot of mink fur as a striking decoration. The color of the velvet is gray or bluish gray, not blue as the photos show. It was difficult to get the correct color.

The interior circumference of the hat is 22 ¾" , the crown rises 5 ½" and the band is 2 ¾" at the front tapering to 2 ½" at the back.

Condition: The exterior of the hat is in mint condition with no soiling at all. The mink fur is still supple with no dryness. The interior of the hat shows some rubbing to the lining in the area where it would have been grasped to put it on, and the velvet inside is slightly crushed.
