Creamy-white, Early Lucite, 1940’s Necklace. Very clever design! Mint Condition. Barrel clasp.

This early lucite necklace is very cleverly designed. The flat, circular discs are bevelled on one side so that all lie even and flat, both front and back. The holes for the threading of the cord are all angled through the discs so that there is no cord visible either front or back. A lot of thought went into this design.

The discs are graduated in size with the central one measuring 1 3/8" in diameter. Although the necklace looks like the rest is composed of small beads, they are actually 1 ½" long scored tubes, separated by round beads. It measures 19" around. A barrel clasp completes the design. All-in-all, this necklace is much more than the sum of its parts!

Condition: Mint. No scratches, no chips.
