Caroline's Jewelry with a Past is offering an Edwardian black textured and undulating leather jewelry box, circa 1900. The box has a curved front and sides with a squared back. The jewelry box has an oval brass push button escutcheon on the front with original lock and hinges, all plated. The hinges are engraved. The key is missing. The interior is deep forest green silk with white and green silk rope twist accent. The box has four compartments, one for rings, a bracelet or pocket watch and two rectangular sections. The silk has some discoloration in one corner and a stretch tear as shown. The box measures measures 8-1/4" wide X 6" deep X 2-5/8" high (maximum dimensions). The top edges are beveled. The bottom has a green flowered covering.
