The stones are carved flowers and leaves. Between each plaque there are six octagonal gold links and eight ribbed links. The closure is a spring ring clasp. The bracelet can accommodate a 7" to 7-1/4" wrist. The piece weighs 11.6 grams.
The Chinese have carved jade for centuries. Much of the jade used in Art Deco jewelry were antique pieces exported from China after the first World War. Jade has long been thought of in the Orient to represent longevity or immortality, purity of spirit and beauty of soul and purpose.
The gold content of this piece has been tested using standard accepted testing methods, such as acid testing. The gold is marked "10kt." The jade sizes were calculated using a standard jeweler's caliper. The jades were tested using a jeweler's stone tester. The stones were not removed from the piece to do physical testing or for weight.
