These vintage graphic Mexican earrings feature open-center triangles dangling from simple circles.
The screw-back earrings are made of sterling silver inlaid with matte pale green claystone chips.
Claystone is a fully hardened sedimentary rock that unlike the name implies does soften when water is applied.
Each measures 2" long x 1-5/8" at the widest. Quarter in photo for size comparison.
They are stamped with pre-eagle marks - Hecho en Mexico around the maker's mark of GOM and 925 (sterling). On the back of one of the circles is the Alpaca mark. The earrings have been tested only the screw mechanisms are alpaca. The rest of the silver is sterling.
Condition: there is a skip along the edge of the inner frame on one earrings, this is a manufacturing flaw.
