Dating to around 1900, this antique French silver plated notebook from Paris features a raised Art Nouveau floral design and a plaque with an image of the Arc de Triomphe. The front design includes flowering plants while the back carries a vine, leaf and berry design with a classic whip-lash Nouveau border.
Inside the hinged book is a small original pad of paper.
It is held closed by a thin pencil that threads through the side tubes.
When closed, the notebook measures just under 4" x 2-1/2".
Condition: the silver has only been lightly polished on the outside of the notebook, the first few pages of the note pad have been used, the last several pages have water stains along the edge, the pencil needs to be sharpened. Slight scent of perfume to the pages.
