This chic and stylish demi-parure by designer Eugene Schultz consists of a 6 strand necklace and matching clip-on earrings.
Three strands of the necklace carry a mix of grey costume pearls, faceted matte finish black and grey glass beads, red orange beads that look like carnelian, bronze tone confetti Lucite beads, and brass fish-net beads. Each of these strands stars a large glass bead – gunmetal grey spattered with sparkling goldstone. These large beads are offset.
The other 3 strands feature faceted matte black glass beads.
The necklace is adjustable in length. The longest size is 18-1/2". Eugene's standard j-hook clasp secures this jewel. The clasp is topped with a grey pear shaped rhinestone while the connectors carry pale lavender stones.
The earrings carry the theme of the necklace with the faceted matte black glass beads, bronze tone Lucite confetti beads, and "carnelian" beads. Adding to the glamour with a hint of sparkle are center very pale lavender long emerald cut rhinestones and small black chatons.
The earrings measure almost 1" across the farthest points. They are signed Eugene on the clip-backs.
As is common with many of his sets, the necklace is not signed but clearly matches the signed earrings.
Condition: one end of a strand on the necklace has some black thread wrapped around it and the clasp (see 7th photo). I suspect that this is a fast repair of a brass end piece that has lost the hook tip. The beads are not in danger of falling off of the strand.
