1945-1958 United Nations UNESCO Sterling Medal 13th Anniversary
On one side of the medal is a raised depiction of the famed headquarters in Paris which opened in 1958.
On the opposite side is a triplet of open books which mirror the shape of the UNESCO building. On the books are the words Culture, Science, Education.
The medal measures a hint over 7/8" in diameter excluding the bail. The medal is signed with the sculptor's name. It looks like B. Bernse???. Perhaps Bernstein. It is also stamped along the edge with what appear to be French hallmarks.
It has also been tested and it is sterling.
Condition: a couple of dings along the edge.
