Large Arts & Crafts Hammered Sterling Napkin Ring Applied Monogram

A truly handsome example of Arts & Crafts silver work, this sterling napkin ring features a classic hand hammered texture topped with an applied monogram that appears to read GEP or perhaps GFP.

This is an unusually large napkin ring at 3-5/16" x 5/8" high. The slot for the table linen is 9/16".

It is unmarked but it has been tested and it is sterling. Weight 30.1 grams.

Condition: typical surface scratches, some hard-to-reach tarnish, the purposeful oxidation inside the letters is rubbed so it isn't as black as it should be, one side of the ring is about 2mm taller than the other.
