Rare Coin Silver Spoon Simeon Freeman Sharpsville Indiana

This rare coin silver spoon by Simeon Freeman of Sharpsville, Indiana is circa 1879-81. The mark can be found in Redfearn's Indiana Silversmiths page 202.

The handle is hand engraved with the owner's name E. Wood. The back is marked with the maker's name S. Freeman. It is not marked with the silver content but it has been tested and it is sterling or a slightly lower coin value of 900.

Condition: typical allover surface scratches, there are a couple of deeper scratches on the back near the hallmark.
