Antique 14k Gold Cannetille Hatpin Lobed Hot Air Balloon

The hat pin measures 8-5/8" long. The gold top alone is a bit under 1-1/4" x 5/8". It is a hollow construction with a tiny ding and a somewhat larger ding. The ring that attaches the stem and head is stamped 14. It also carries a mark that could be a maker's mark or a hallmark – it is not legible. To insure the metal content, it has been acid tested and it is 14k gold.

Condition: 2 small dings as mentioned, the pin stem is not perfectly straight, the plating has worn off of the very end of the stem.
