1824 George IV Sterling Sugar Sifter Ladle by Mark Hinchsliffe

This antique George IV sterling silver sugar sifter ladle by Mark Hinchsliffe bears an 1824 Glasgow hallmark. Sugar sifts through the bowl which is cut out in diamonds, dots, and plumes. The end of the handle is engraved with a monogram.

The ladle measures 6-3/8" long. The bowl is 1-5/8" wide and 5/8" deep. This is a sturdy item and is made of a substantial gauge of sterling. It weighs 36.5 grams.

Minor typical wear from age and respectful use. Because I have not polished this item, the bowl appears lightly gilded. There is no gilding.
