Charming Swan Bonbonniere Candy Tray 1920/30
Beautiful Art Deco candy box made after a design of Johann Beck, an excellent German silversmith who worked in the ateliers from Schwäbisch Gmuend. Beck designed this swan as cellar around 1900, later some other silversmith made candy boxes too.
The body is made of cut glass with beautiful patterns and star on the underside. The top has swan shape; head, neck and wings are made of silver plated metal (I think brass). The engravings are really beautiful.
The condition is good to very good. The silver patted shows some wear, one screw lost the silver cover. A little gap to the fixed neck, see please pictures.
Measurements: 5.8 x 3.2 inches, 5 inches in height.
