Legras Vase Cameo Glass France about 1910

Superb vase made of mottled cameo glass / pate-de-verre.

The vase has a pleasant baluster shape with fine stylized floral decorations, hand painted. The pate-de-verre is cranberry red and yellow/orange veined. Signed Leg for Legras, Legras & Cie, Saint Denis, France.

Best condition, no chip or hair. Some wear traces inside and on the base.

Height: 10 inches.

Legras is one of the best Glass Manufactories in Europe, founded in 1864 by Auguste Legras at St. Denis, France. It is best known for cameo glass and enamel-decorated glass with Art Nouveau designs. Legras merged with Pantin in 1920 and became the Verreries et Cristalleries de St. Denis et de Pantin Reunies.
