19th Century Landscape Signed L. Henry Barbizon School
An excellent example of the French Barbizon School. The Barbizon School of painters is named after the village of Barbizon near Fontainebleau Forest, France, where the artists gathered.
The painter L. Henry (born 1868) was American, he joined the Barbizon movement. His works are very appreciated, obtain good prices. Henry is listed by several art databases, like Artprice or Artnet.
The landscape is painted in vibrant colors. Fabulous light effects, representative for the Barbizon paintings.
