Lovely Hand Carved Ink Well Woodpecker ca. 1920

This rare ink well is coming from the Black Forest area and dated around 1920. The ink well has a pen rest and a small compartment for paper clips or stamps.

The woodpecker is lovely carved and painted.

The glass ink receptacle is in good condition, but it shows some flea bites and a fine crack.

The carving is in good condition too, one feet of the bird is repaired, hard to see.

Measurements: 5 x 4.2 inches, 3.4 inches in height.
