German WMF Ikora Center Piece Bowl Art Deco ca. 1930
This wonderful piece is made of colorless glass with green and orange inlay. The glass is slightly iridescent.
The center piece is made by the manufactory WMF/Geislingen circa 1930 and belongs to the well-known Ikora series.
The Ikora objects was produced by the traditional German Manufactory "Württembergische Metalfabrik" WMF. These objects were strongly influenced by art nouveau and art deco designs. The name "Ikora" originates from a south East Asian flower which was devoted to the cult of the greek goddess Ixora. The choice of this name was intended to give the products a touch of exclusivity and preciousness.
The bowl is in good condition. There is a chip (ca. 0.8 inches) on the base, see please photographs. This chip is not visible when the bowl is on a table. No repairs or cracks.
