19th Century Russian Icon Feast Icon

This icon was painted in the first half of the 19th Century. It comes from Central Russia, possible Palekh School, well known for a long history in Russian iconography. Egg tempera on chalk ground and golden leaf on wooden panel.

A wonderful feast icon with four fields (parts); fine painted religious sequences. On the border a trompe-oeil frame.

The icon is in original condition with some painting damages, worm holes (especially on the border, not active). The edges show some damages.

Measurements: 20.8 x 16.8 inches.
