18 Inch Oval Platter Antique Haviland Limoges Ranson w Gold Pink Roses & Green S

Offered for sale is this exquisite 18 inch oval platter decorated with pink roses, green scrolls and gold trim by Haviland & Company of Limoges, France. The shape is called "Ranson" with the double gold trim that makes it "Blank 17" according to the Schleiger indexing system. The platter is marked "Haviland France" and "Haviland & Co Limoges" showing that it was both made by Haviland and factory decorated. The mark was used during the period 1894 - 1931. This pattern dates to circa 1900 - 1910. The platter is 17 3/4 inches long by 12 inches wide. It weighs 3 lbs 8 oz (shipping weight 6 lbs).
