1909 Green Oval Guilloche Enamel Pin With Maple Leaf

1909 green oval guilloche enamel pin features a Maple leaf spanning the opening in the oval pin. Attached at three locations, the Maple leaf has been rendered in green to match the oval portion, and hues of pink to red adding color, depth and dimension. The oval portion is wider at both ends and allows for the skill of the jeweler to shine through with guilloche wave or ray pattern to shine through and adds movement. Dot pattern border around the piece gives the illusion of little jewels. Quite large with vibrant colors, this piece is in excellent condition and with no issues. Gilded brass base metal and has a "C" clasp. I have cleaned the pin portion since loading the photos, and believe it to be sterling which has not be tested. Some patina to backside on the gilt. Marked to the bottom is Pat. RD. 1909. Measures 2 1/2" across x 1 1/4" w. A beautiful piece.
