Stunning Art Deco 1935 pat pend sapphire color rhinestone Butterfly Brooch

Exquisite Art deco Butterfly Brooch is in good condition features a filigree open cut work Butterfly top piece with prong set Sapphire color rhinestones, these all appear original to Brooch and have good life. This piece is attached to the open cut casted metal solid square with folding clamps in back. marked pat. no 2020855 which shows up on united states patent sight as registered November 12 1935. While it does not give the designer this wonderful art deco piece has several similar ear marks of McClelland Barclay. He began designing in 1935 and sadly stopped due to his death in 1942. Note the cut on the solid casted metal gold tone richly plated back and c clasp, these design features lead me to believe this is possible his work. Regardless we know for certain this was produced in 1935 and it will not disappoint in terms of rare beauty. There is a small spot of wear on front left bottom and on the pin back itself, some normal surface scratches on back, the butterfly has a slight bit of play that it the way it's set on to solid bar and not a flaw. All and all this very lovely piece is in good condition. Measures just under 1 1/4'L and just under 1 1/2'W.
