What a charming Victorian cold painted lead or spelter figure! Large at 5 1/4" by about 5 1/2", it shows a Victorian boy at the seaside leading a fancifully outfitted Donkey. There was two straps on the donkey's rump which have lost the middle portion of the strap as shown. He stands easily but the Donkeys two back hooves don't quite touch the ground. Dates from around 1870.
