Cram, George F. Co. Cram's Unrivaled Terrestrial globe -12 inch- Natural Scale 1- 41,420,882 One inch = 653 Statute Miles 68.12 mi. Length of a degree of longitude, shown at each 10 degrees of latitude on meridian 30 w. Spellings conform to official rulings of United States Geographic Board and Royal Geographical Society. No. 3. The George F. Cram Company. Indianapolis. c1949-52. Attractive orb with dull coated gores. Oceans finished in pea green, large analemma scale in Pacific. Ocean currents and Nautical distances shown in red, time dial at North Pole. This globe is just full of places that no longer exist. One of the most interesting globes I have ever offered for sale. Only minor wear at the pole (shown in photo) and a few crinkles (show in photo) over all I would rate this globe in very good to fine condition. Wood base which is unusual.
