This pair of fruit jars is similar but they are not identical. The larger was made by Owens-Illinois Glass Company - which had many plants around the country - used beginning in 1929 or 1930 to at least the mid-1950s. It is an 8 sided jar with no etching or chips except one on the lip where the lid fits. The zinc lids on these may not be original to the jars. The smaller jar has 8 sides and was made by Anchor Hocking most likely around the same time. It also has a very small nick on the lip under the lid. The larger one stands 8.5" tall - 5.75" on the smaller one.
