Each milk glass jar is in almost MINT condition and measures 4 1/4 inches high by 1 3/4 inches square with a traditional yellow top; tops are in typical vintage condition with some paint missing. Jars have black fired on labels that cannot be removed. The jars include Celery, Paprika, Garlic Salt, Cinnamon, Ground Cloves, Roast Meat Seasoning, All Spice, Pepper, Dry Mustard, Poultry, Chili Seasoning, Curry, Ground Bayleaf, and Marjoram . Labels are in excellent legible condition. 9 jars have shaker inserts.. These are original jars and have been left untouched – in used condition and should be appreciated and loved for their historical and collectible value. Clean inside and out. However if you want to restore them to original condition use the following steps: Steps to Repainting the lids: First, sand the lid smooth and remove all rust -use a mask before sanding the lids ( might be lead based paint) . Wipe with tack cloth or damp lint-free cloth; then, cut a sheet of waxed paper (plastic wrap will also work) long enough to cover the entire jar from top to bottom on all sides; lay the sheet over the mouth of the jar and down the sides then, gently screw back on the lid being careful not to tear the paper around the mouth of the jar. If you decide to repaint your lids, Just spray two coats on the outside top and edges of the lid allowing it to dry completely between coats; then, hand paint the visible edge of the inside lip on the lid but not inside of the lid or the threads - After the lids are completely dry (allow 24 -48 hours) unscrew the top, remove the wax paper, reattach the lids and display them proudly on your spice rack or shelf.
