Found in an old 1930's cookbook, old Kool Aid package. Package is empty of contents but is in very good condition considering age, small tear at back flap. Verified as 1930's package by the Kool Aid Hastings Museum. Kool Aid was patented by Edwin Perkins in 1927, in addition to the powdered drink ,he manufactured other products under the Kool Aid name such as pie fillings and ice cream mixes. This package shows a recipe for Cream Sherbert, Cherry Meringue Pie, Fluff desert and Cake Icing. Sold for 10 cents per packet and manufactured by Perkins Products Co. in Chicago, IL. In 1953 the company was sold to General Foods.
