This simple and beautiful round 19th century gold-filled locket with a makers mark of B Co. inside of a large B, stands for Bliss Brothers. It was a jewelry company based in Attleboro, MA, from 1887 to the 1950's (the photo does not do it justice - it is definitely gold color--not silver). They made many different types of quality jewelry, and their pieces are highly collectible. This beauty hangs on a new 32-inch scrolled-link chain and has two fabulously- etched Victorian initials of HB (nice to be able to add your own on the front - a bit of the past and a bit of the present). The chain is long enough to wrap around twice or play with as you choose. It is in great antique condition and measures one inch in diameter. It still has an original photo inside and both original plastic photo covers and rims.
